When a child becomes seriously ill or injured, families can face long nights filled with uncertainty, exhaustion, and emotional stress. Support services that provide families with accommodation, comfort, and practical assistance can make an important difference during these difficult periods.
Ronald McDonald House South East Queensland and the Children’s Hospital Foundation support sick and injured children and their families in Queensland. Their work helps families access care, support, and essential services when children require treatment at Brisbane’s hospitals.
All Night Long 2026 will return on Saturday, 24 October 2026, bringing people together for an overnight walking challenge in support of Queensland children and their families. The event offers participants the choice of a 21km or 42km night-walking marathon, giving supporters an opportunity to experience Brisbane after dark while raising vital funds for children facing serious illness.
The first-ever All Night Long was a sell-out event, with more than 1,000 walkers coming together to take on the overnight challenge and raise funds for Queensland kids in need. The event draws inspiration from the families it supports. Every night, parents and loved ones stay awake caring for sick children, facing moments of courage, determination, resilience, and hope.
Participants in All Night Long will spend one long night walking together in solidarity with these families. Funds raised will support the work of Ronald McDonald House South East Queensland and Children’s Hospital Foundation, helping provide assistance to sick children and their families.
For families travelling to Brisbane for treatment, the two organisations can play an important role in their healthcare journey. When a Queensland child requires treatment at the Children’s Hospital, their family may also stay at Ronald McDonald House South East Queensland, allowing them to remain close to their child. All Night Long is more than an overnight walking challenge—it is a way to show solidarity with families who spend their nights caring for sick children and to help ensure they do not have to face the journey alone.
Walk all night for Queensland’s sick kids and their families—join here for All Night Long on October 24, 2026.
