LastOctober 20th,#Bangon SugBohol Movementorganized a benefit concert with more than 500 local musicians performed for free to raise funds for relief operations in earthquake-ravaged areas in Cebu and Bohol. Before midnight that evening, the We Will Rise Againbenefit concert at the Ayala Terraces raised at least P1 million cash, co-organizerMelanie Ng. A booth was also set up to receive food, water and other donations.

More than 20 other civic organizations and business groups have since joined the cause such asMandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), the Rotary Club, Cebu Business Club and the Movement for Livable Cebu. Among those who performed were theMandaue Children and Youth Chorus, the Cebu PhilHarmonic Orchestra and Sistemang Pilipino.Some of the musicians who played that evening were from Bohol, which some of them lost family members and their houses.
