The Janelle’s Miracle Foundation was established on 5th July 2012 to support families facing a terminal cancer prognosis. Whilst there are many cancer-related foundations that exist today, there are few that are focussed solely on meeting the unique psycho-social support needs of families facing a terminal cancer prognosis. Psycho-social support includes additional non-medical support such as psychological, emotional, social, financial, physical and spiritual. Studies have indicated that psycho-social support helps to improve both the quality of life and health outcomes of patients with a terminal cancer prognosis.
Our vision is to provide the resources and support to educate and empower families tocreate the most fulfilling lives possible under such difficult circumstances. The foundationoffers financial assistance, educational programs, psycho-social support services and resourcesto helpease the illness, suffering, distress and helplessness of families currently facing a terminal cancer prognosis.
We also offer ‘post terminal cancer’ support to help familiesadjust to life after their cancer experience. Most importantly, we want families to know that wewill never, never, NEVER give up on them and we believe it is possibletomake the rest of their lives the best of their lives…
