The day takes the form of a series of workshops that run every hour on the hour. There will be a number of sessions running simultaneously (varying between 3 and 6 depending on the time of day) with most of sessions running twice. A program will be released soon.
In addition therell be a bike doctor drop-in session run by volunteers from Dismantle, and a drop-in Sew Your Own sewing workshop running between 11am and 3pm where you can make your own fresh produce bags. There will also be mosaicking from 10am to 4pm and Children’s Activities in the children’s room between 10am and 1pm.
Finally, we are having a ‘Bring a Dish and Share’ cafe on the lawn area, and would welcome any finger food-type dishes being brought along to share, if you are willing! This will also be an opportunity to sit and chat with like-minded people and share ideas.
There is no registration process – just turn up on the day and come to as many or as few sessions as you like!
How to get there:
The Gove Library is located on the corner of Stirling Highway and Leake Street in Peppermint Grove.
There is limited car parking but ample bike parking (and you can get a service with the Dismantle crew) and the library is just down the road from the Cottesloe train station.
What to Bring:
Less is More is a free event. Everyone is welcome, just bring yourself and a good vibe.
However, many workshops are hands on and there will be the chance to bring home samples from some sessions so bring a few small jars if you like and something to take notes with.
