[– –] This year’s edition of the Woodstock fair closed on a cloudy Sunday afternoon, but organizers say the future is bright for the
annual event. With several new events and attractions, organizers looked to the future at this year’s 173 edition. “We have made an effort to attract the young people,” said Fred Curry, president of the Woodstock agricultural society. “We have to bring up a new generation to love the fair.” This year’s fair included close to half a dozen new events all aimed at youth. Local musicians, including bands from the Woodstock Academy of Music, had a chance to play in front of a live audience, and there was an electronic cafe offering young people a chance to play the latest video games.
On Saturday afternoon, there was a BMX and skateboarding exhibition.
