Tournament to benefit exDanbury golfer Ken Green already looking

In a recent blog entry on his Web site — www.kengreenscomeback.com — the irreverent Green cheekily refers to himself as “the legless one.” On
the surface, the self-deprecating humor might be tough for some to take. For others — longtime friends such as Michael Goodman, Greg Begler and Gary Michael, men who have known Green for years — it’s not too hard to read between the lines. Almost three months after Green lost his brother, his girlfriend, his dog and ultimately part of his right leg in a devastating RV accident, Ken Green isn’t giving up on himself and his future. Neither should you. On Sept. 28, Green will come home to Danbury’s Ridgewood Country Club and 25 foursomes — maybe even one or two more — for the first time since his cruel accident on a strip of highway in Mississippi. In fact, Green hopes to play on his prosthetic right leg at the Friends of Green benefit golf tournament.
Goodman said the event, which is already primed to deposit $100,000 into a special trust fund for Green, will be broadcast by The Golf Channel.
