Beefs Amp Bouquets 2009: Heads Up

Beefs amp Bouquets

HEADS UP to the super salesman at a certain marine sales and service store in Courtenay.
When I asked to see the manual on a GPS/Depthsounder I was considering purchasing I was told I had to buy the unit first. Do they actually pay you there MANY BOUQUETS OF THANKS to Steve, Barry and Mike of North Island Restoration for their professional restoration work on my home on Malahat Drive. The care and respect with which you treated my home are exemplary and very much appreciated! A BOUQUET OF THANKS also to Sears Carpet Cleaning (and Trevor) for their usual perfect carpet cleaning. A BOUQUET of well wishes and good luck to the young lady sandwich artist who served up a smile every time I came in to the sandwich shop in Comox. Many more training courses to the manager who humiliates her employees in front of the customers. A BIG BOUQUET of Thank-You’s for all the people contributing ‘local’ produce from their gardens and orchards to the Food Bank. What a good way to know your abundance is being appreciated. ABSOLUTELY NO Rotten Tomatoes for the new Reel Films at Frelones in Cumberland. Sara Turner has taken half of the former grocery on Dunsmuir and turned it into the cutest, most comfortable, and hospitable mini-cinema you’ll ever want to visit. This repertory theatre opened in the last couple of weeks and screens documentaries on Thursdays, good films on Friday and Saturday and a family matinee on Sunday. I was there to see The Lives of Others on Friday evening – a great film – and although it was a scant crowd, I’m betting that we’ll soon be lining up to get one of the 30 or so seats. This theatre is a winner! Don’t just take my word for it, Google “reel films at frelones” and you’ll find a web site which gives you all the info you need as well as a classy shot of the inside of the theatre. Isn’t it cute Thank you Sara! A LIFETIME of flat tires to the person/persons who decided to bounce off my bumper and leave a huge dent at the Evergreen Seniors Centre last Wednesday, August 5th. I thought most people were honest but obviously you decided you could get away with it. It has now been reported to the police as a hit and run. I have spent the last 10 years looking after my truck and with one fell swoop you decide to damage it. I hope you can sleep at night. I understand that this happens all the time in the parking lot and it is time people took responsible for their actions. YELLOW ROSES to Linda and her beautiful daughter for providing such GREAT times at Mulligan’s Wednesday Night Ladies golf evening!! Everything is always so organized and the food is very good. Much appreciated. Thank you both!
I HAVE TO REPLY to this. Why, when someone does wrong, the first thing they do is whine Speeding on the Dyke Rd. in the early morning, and you get caught, wha! So, you are eager volunteers, ready to get out and do good. Don’t be sooo self-gratifying and self-pitying to expect that you are above the law. Question: Do you live on a street that when traffic is slow, it is allowable to speed along that street You mentioned “fish in a barrel” give ME a break, do the crime, be man/woman enough to do the time or fine. STOP THE WHINING. Support the RCMP, they’re doing a job just like you (they get paid) and they should, they have to put up with people like you.
