Probe Continues In Pico Rivera Pizza Parlor Shooting 2009: Pico Rivera

Probe continues in Pico Rivera pizza parlor shooting

PICO RIVERA – The investigation continued Sunday into a pizza-parlor shooting that left three men – including two brothers – dead and seven people
wounded at a charity fundraiser. The names of those killed were not released Sunday pending notification of family members, coroner’s officials said. “Witnesses told (detectives) that a motorcycle club charity event was being held in the parking lot of the location, and that a male Hispanic adult had fired a handgun into the crowd without provocation,” Ward said in a written statement. The shooter was last seen getting into the passenger side of a dark-colored vehicle, he added, which sped away west on Slauson Avenue.
The seven injured people were taken to area hospitals in conditions ranging from moderate to serious, Lt. Gil Carrillo of the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau said. All the wounded were believed to be adults.
