Saturday, May 30, 2009 MORE than 31 vehicles will participate in a fun run from Suva to Namosi highlands and conduct charity work with
villages along the way today. Organised by the Rotary Club of Suva Peninsula, anyone who has a four-wheel-drive vehicle has been invited to join. Club member Champak Patel said it was a Rotary Charity event combined into a family fun and picnic day. “We have been doing this for more than 12 years now. While on our way to Namosi, we will also be helping out about six villages which we go past,” he said. “Participants of the fun run were requested to bring along unwanted clothes, books, toys, and sporting equipment for donation to the villages.” He said the event had 31 confirmed participants as of yesterday.
“This will also provide a unique opportunity for us to see, feel and enjoy the beautiful areas of Viti Levu,” he said.
