The event takes place on in-service day Friday, 5 June at the Aberdeen Grammar School Pitches.
The tennis competition will take the form of a mini-Orange Singles tournament. Players should be able to rally. Racquets can be provided if required. Volunteer parents are being sought to help with scores in the tennis contest. Entry to each activity costs £2.50, except the tennis competition which costs £5. The fees are payable on the day. All proceeds will go to the charity. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis. To book a place on any of the activities call Active Schools on 0845 608 0935. All equipment will be provided. Children should wear sports kits, including trainers, and take trousers, a jumper and a drink with them. The use of rugby and football boots will not be permitted. All activities will be staffed by Active Schools co-ordinators.
The last Active Schools activity day raised £256 for the Archie Foundation, the official charity of the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital.
