26th May 2009 EVERYONE has watched Red Symons, Pauline Hanson and Tom Williams tap, waltz and salsa their way into the nation’s living rooms.
Now Bundaberg’s “A-list†will be put under the spotlight, when 12 local identities lace up their dancing shoes for charity, starring in Bundaberg’s Dancing With Our Stars. The concept is well and truly taking shape, and already has it’s first big name signing, with Mayor Lorraine Pyefinch a confirmed entrant. But the show is lacking a choreographer to put the show together, organiser Ryan Burgess, a breakfast announcer on Sea FM said yesterday. “We are looking for a local choreographer to lend their support to this local charity fundraiser, there’s tremendous benefits for any dance studio that is willing to put their hand up,†he said. “It’s one thing having the stars of the show, but it will be nothing without choreography, so we are really hoping to secure the services of a local choreographer to complete the package.â€
Burgess was tight lipped when asked to reveal any other participants or the chosen charity, but did promise the performance, due to be held in late August, would not lack star value while all the money raised would be donated to a “100% local cause.â€
