As well as blind and partially sighted volunteers, the event is also open to fully sighted people who will be blindfolded with special goggles to experience blindness. Children aged 12 and over are also able to take part as all participants will be driving a dual controlled car around a coned obstacle course and will be guided by a professional driving instructor at all times. All money raised will go towards the services and support the Sedgley-based charity – which offers help to blind and visually impaired people across the borough.
