May 9, 2009 Port Huron Northern coaches Ken Meinhardt and Russ Pickering are having a middle school clinic June 17 and 18 at Wagenseil
Gymnasium in Chippewa Middle School. The clinics are for sixth, seventh and eighth graders, and will run from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Cost is $30. The registration deadline is June 4. Croswell-Lexington will play host to the “Great Wrestler” camp on June 22-25 at the high school and July 20-23 at the middle school. The camp will meet from 9-11 a.m. and noon to 2 p.m. Cost is $60 per session ($10 discount for a second sibling), $40 of which is due by the registration deadline of June 1. The Richmond wrestling team is playing host to its 18th annual Mother’s Day Hanging Basket Sale from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. today, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. The team also is having a bowling fundraiser June 6 at Strikers Bowling Alley in Richmond. Sign-in is at 6 p.m., and bowling begins at 7 p.m. Cost is $20 ($15 for non-bowlers), which includes three games, shoes, pizza and pop. The Port Huron Predators Fastpitch Softball Tournament is scheduled for June 6-7 at the State Road ball diamonds in Fort Gratiot. There are three openings in 10-and-younger and 12-younger divisions.
