Those who play in the tournament qualify based on scores earned not only on the golf course, but through an interview process that judges their knowledge of the Life Skills and Core Values learned during their involvement with The First Tee as well as an essay, resume, letters of recommendation and a written exam. The First Tee offers kids from age 5 to 18 opportunity to learn values they will carry throughout life while learning how to play golf.
