Many stores and companies offered to showcase their clothes to help the camp, including Calvin Klein, French Connection, Aqua di Lara, Gongshow, Armani, Vera Monda, Influence U, Bannerman’s, Parasuco and, new to this year’s list, the organic clothing line Oom. “Every year we notice more stores coming back to take part,” Brophy said. – – – About 70 teams composed of Montreal business, sports and entertainment personalities spent the day in friendly competition on foot, skates and skis during the third annual Ste. Justine Hospital Foundation Winter Triathlon. The event, organized by the foundation’s Young Leaders Circle and held Feb. 6, raised $256,000 for the perinatal unit of Ste. Justine Hospital, surpassing targets for participation and donations by a wide margin. “The Triathlon is a terrific opportunity for young professionals, businesspeople and partners to get together, pool their energies and their financial contributions and mobilize around a great cause – for the love of children,” said Pierre Boivin, president of the Montreal Canadiens and chairman of the Ste. Justine Hospital Foundation board. A new feature was the Pierre Boivin challenge, in which teams solicited donations from co-workers, suppliers, friends and family members. The challenge raised $75,823, with the Pembroke Management team winning with a contribution of $8,925.
