Today Tonight Tomorrow 2009: Janet Forecast

Today Tonight Tomorrow

JANET The forecast is calling for sunny skies and temperatures around 60 degrees today.
Not quite spring-like, but it’ll do for a walk in the park. Best bets: Clark Park and the Cape Fear River Trail, off Sherman Drive in north Fayetteville Linear Park in downtown Fayetteville or Lake Rim Park in western Cumberland County. Bring Fido along &mdash on a leash, of course. All three places are dog-friendly. Round out your day with another activity that has a bit of Humphrey Bogart’s presence. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students and seniors. there is no charge for the university’s community members with valid ID. Call 630-7104. Further south, at UNC-Pembroke, there is a scheduled production of “You Can’t Take it With You,” at 8 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free for students, faculty and staff with ID, $3 for non-UNCP students and $5 for general admission. Visit www.uncp.educ/gpac. Or you could check out “Wait Until Dark” at Fayetteville Technical Community College’s Cumberland Hall Auditorium today at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Admission is free. I had an opportunity to visit Georgia Brown’s Bar & Grill recently and was pleasantly surprised to witness a performance by Joyner, Young and Marie (above). The group’s singer, Marie, gave Beyonc
