PUB regulars in Nuneaton are being called outside &ndash to take part in a charity golf tournament at Purley Chase on Friday, June 5.
Organiser Danny Mulligan said: “I’m looking for as much support as I can get.” He wants to raise money for the Make a Wish Foundation, which helps terminally ill children, and is targeting pubs and businesses in the area. “The idea is to have two four-ball teams from 18 pubs. “I don’t think a golf competition for pubs has ever been done before and it will make a change from pool and darts and dominoes. Hopefully, it will become an annual event.” “The entry cost will be &pound160 for a team of four and I am aiming at raising at least &pound3,000.” Anyone interested in taking part or supporting the event can contact Mr Mulligan on 07903 667857.
A NORTH Warwickshire organisation, which helps adults with mental health problems, has received a &pound40,000 grant from an international company.
