LA Countys finest sheriffs deputies, highway patrol officers, firefighters, paramedics werent chasing bad guys today: instead, they raced go-karts for a childrens charity.
These emergency first-responders were at Racers Edge in Santa Clarita Valley for the event, supporting the 999 For Kids program. The program benefits disabled children who have suffered abuse and neglect.
The LA County Sheriffs Department and the Department of Children and Family Services created the childrens charity program over 20 years ago, and the finest representatives raced against each other and the go-karting public to raise funds.
