The Football Federation of Australia has teamed up with UNICEF, and will now receive support from Ambassadors Harry Kewell and David Beckham, to benefit children in Australia and the Asia Pacific region.
‘Football in Australia is going through a growth period and what better way to take advantage of this than to join the global football community in its partnership with UNICEF to help vulnerable children throughout our region’, Ben Buckley from FFA commented about the partnership.
Donations for UNICEF will be collected at this weekend’s FIFA World Cup qualifying match between the Socceroos and Iraq, and will benefit support projects for children in Iraq.
The Football Federation Australia UNICEF partnership will also be promoted at upcoming World Cup qualifiers in Australia and overseas.
