Noticed something strange when glossing over the top twenty displaysat your local music superstore lately A Belinda Emmett new release CD, has mysteriously popped up in music stores everywhere.
Rove McManus’s late wife, Belinda Emmett was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1998 when she was just 24 years old, and despite having her cancer removed as well as having radiotherapy, she died in November of 2006.
Which may seem a bit X-Files when you couple that with the fact that she has just released a new CD, So Am I.
Spookier still, the new CD doesn’t feature her old recording of her cover of Michael Jackson’s ‘Off the Wall’. It’s comprised mostly of all new tracks.
But it’s not that strange, really. Belinda had been working on the album for 6 years and although her life was taken before the CD was complete, her producer Daniel Denholme made sure that the twelve tracks, recorded on a label set up for this sole purpose, Hooch, were going to be available to the public, which they now are.
In memory of Belinda Emmett, you can buyhernew release CD, So Am I, from most popular music stores. Profits will of course go to the McGrath Foundation, an organisation that Belinda Emmett had a fond association with.
