The Red Cross Volunteer Emergency Services have just spent the past couple of months fighting Australia’s sweltering summer bushfires and to relieve a bit of the undue stress, they’re holding a Gala Ball.
The Ball will be A Night Of Big Band Swing to get your feet tapping, your hips swaying and your vocal chords crooning. And will be hosted by Channel 7 News weather presenter David Brown (who sources say is the only actual weather presenting meteorologist on television).
There will be former Dancing With The Stars celebrities mingling on the night, who I’m sure won’t be able to keep from setting the dance flooron firewith rhythm, to the big brassed off beats of David Campbell and the B Sharp Big Band, and other celebrity performers.
The Swing Patrol Dancers will give an unforgettable performance and there will also be auctions and raffles as part of the night’s fundraising entertainment as well as a three course delectable dinner with drinks.
The Australian Red Cross Gala Ball, A Night Of Swing, is on May 5 at The Grand Hyatt Hotel, and will raise funds to aid the volunteer Disaster and Emergency Services division who provide first aid support to bushfire evacuees and feed the fire fighters while they attempt to extinguish blazes.
