With rock memorabilia like Chrissy Amphletts school uniform for auction, and old-school rockers like Jimmy Barnes performing, an annual charity lunch last week was a real return to the 80s.
The event was for The Golden Stave Foundation that is supported by the Australian music and entertainment industries, and raises funds for charities helping ill, underprivileged or impoverished children. The Hordern Pavilion rocked to Barnesy, Tommy Emmanual, Mental As Anything and The Radiators, while the famous Divinyls costume sold for $2000.
Guests dressed in their best 80s gear, and the proceeds of the memorabilia auction and the tickets for the rock legends event will help The Golden Stave Foundation help children in need.
