Ben Affleck has presented his film on DR Congo to the United Nations.
The Hollywood actor has also teamed with Mick Jagger to launch a campaign to draw attention to the refugees devastated by the conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The film, Gimme Shelter, set to the Rolling Stones song of the same name, is taking the lead in the campaign.
‘We made this film in order to focus attention on the humanitarian crisis in the DRC at a time when too much of the world is indifferent or looking the other way,’ Affleck said in a statement.
Ben Affleck, through the Gimme Shelter campaign and film also aims to help the UN raise $23 million, for the refugee agency (UNHCR) to pay for emergency aid and clean water.
