Do you think you could endure 12 hours of bike riding at night Well, that’s what many will be doing on Friday September 11
at 8 p.m. until 8 a.m. Saturday September 12. it’s for a very good cause this 12 hour cycling event is the first ever Kickin Cancer Nite Owl Ride it is to benefit Children’s Chance and the Lance Armstrong Foundation. The Kickin Cancer Nite Owl Ride will give cyclists the chance to see how long they can last throughout the night, while helping cancer patients continue to keep up their fight. The route will begin over the historic Gervais Street Bridge between Columbia and West Columbia. Registration is $40 per person, you can register at if you register the day of the event it is $45 per person. Biking begins at 8:00 p.m. September 11, 2009 ends 8:00 a.m. September 12, 2009. There will be Pre-Ride festivities from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at Dupree Catering & Events at 300 Senate Street this will include vendors, face painting, bounce house, music , food, and much more! This event will benefit Children’s Chance, which is a cancer charity that helps South Carolina children with cancer and the Lance Armstrong Foundation, a national charity that helps people with cancer.
