Do you know what a Mastodon is? A Mastodon is a giant, shaggy, prehistoric elephant, that roamed North America and Eurasia thousands of years ago. Not to be confused with the Wooly Mammoth, it appeared on Earth millions of years earlier than the mammoth. Unfortunately, just like the latter, the Mastodon went extinct 11 thousand years ago.
On November 22-24, you’ll get a chance to see how majestic these creatures are, as The Rochester Museum & Science Center (RMSC) Council presents their 52nd Annual Holiday Bazaar Arts & Crafts Sale. There will be various booths selling ceramics, jewelry, paintings, floral crafts, and more, under a life-sized Mastodon model. Food and drinks will be offered at the Cunningham House studio, an area that’s not usually open to the public. Funds raised from this event will go to the preservation and expansion of the RMSC for the benefit of the community.
Come celebrate the 52nd Annual Holiday Bazaar Arts & Crafts Sale! The Holiday Bazaar is a juried show with five floors of displays across the RMSC campus. A spectacular variety is available with more than 150 exhibitors showcasing creative fine arts and unique crafts: ceramics, jewelry, glass, woodwork, paintings, photography, fiber arts, floral crafts, and more!
