A Full Day of Music and Fun To Help South Plainfield

Ryan Egan • Reader Submitted • August 21, 2009 As summer is coming to an end, everyone is looking for that last chance to
get together with their families and friends to hang out in the sun, BBQ, listen to good music, and participate in fun games. Thanks to South Plainfield resident Ryan Fredericks and SHREWD Clothing Company, we will have that chance! An all-day outdoor charity concert in Veteran’s Park, open to the public, will be held on Saturday, August 29th from 12pm-9pm. The event is called “FSPD” or “Feed South Plainfield Day” and admission is a minimum of one can of food. All collected food will go to local families in need in South Plainfield. Various NJ artists will be performing such as The Ugly Club, Matt Koziol, Chocolate Bread, The Battle Begun, Brian Cole, Justina, M-Theory, & more! Games such as volleyball and Frisbee will be going on all day as well as a main “S.K.A.T.E” competition during set times. There will also be non-alcoholic beverages and BBQ available as well as various clothing vendors selling merchandise. Come out and help feed South Plainfield with great music, food, games, and friends! Nakeya Brown
