Spaghetti Shack to fill Deuce space Sonoma native Emmy Kaplan, owner of the original Emmy’s Spaghetti Shack in San Francisco’s Mission District, plans to
open a second spaghetti shack in June at 691 Broadway in Sonoma, the home of Deuce restaurant for 11 years. Kaplan will rent the space from the owners of Deuce, Peter and Kirsten Stewart, who have run three restaurants in Sonoma over the past 20 years. The couple has 15-year-old twin girls. Emmy’s Spaghetti Shack will feature spaghetti dinners, flatiron steaks, pastas and salads by chef Eric Center, who was raised in the Sonoma Valley. The restaurant features 75 seats indoors and 50 seats on an outdoor patio. It will be open 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday.
