The Sammy D Foundation works to prevent youth violence through education and community-based programs. The Foundation was established following the tragic death of 17-year-old Sam Davis in 2008 and has since reached more than 300,000 young people through programs delivered in schools, sporting clubs, and communities. The ACMA (SA) Charity Gala Ball 2026 will take place on Saturday, 31 October 2026, at the SkyCity Adelaide Ballroom on North Terrace.
Hosted by the Australian Chinese Medical Association (SA), the event will bring together guests for an elegant evening of connection, entertainment, and fundraising. Guests will arrive at 6:30 PM, with dinner beginning at 7:00 PM. All proceeds from the Gala will support the Sammy D Foundation and its efforts to educate young people about youth violence and encourage safer choices. By attending, guests contribute directly to programs designed to help young people build stronger and more respectful communities.
The evening will be hosted by Leith Forrest of 1395 FIVEaa and will feature a Black Tie / Formal Evening Wear dress code, with masks optional. Tickets are $250 per person, while tables of 10 are available for $2,400, providing an opportunity for friends, colleagues, and supporters to attend together.
