WOODSTOCK – The 17th annual Woodstock Garden Walk is planned for June 18.
The event, which will be from 1 to 7 p.m., will feature six gardens. All gardens are within a 10-minute drive of the Square. The Woodstock Garden Walk is the only fundraising event for the Woodstock Professional and Business Women. Part of the proceeds will go toward a $500 donation to a local charity in the name of Angela Burden, a journalist who worked for 30 years for the Northwest Herald and its predecessor, the Woodstock Daily Sentinel. The group also gives scholarships to women wishing to return to school to further their careers and to other community projects. The cost is $15 at the door, but tickets can be bought in advance for $13 at Woodstock banks and the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce. Before May 29, tickets also can be ordered by sending checks to WPBW, P.O. Box 344, Woodstock, IL 60098.
