Congratulations to Gary Dylan Wilson, son of Larry and Susan Wilson of Pembroke, who was named to the dean’s list for the 2008 fall
semester at Elon University in North Carolina. The dean’s list is composed of students with no grade below a B- minus and a grade point average of at least 3.50 in a minimum of 12 semester hours. Brother Daniel Skala, C.F.X., the Headmaster of Xaverian Brothers High School is pleased to announce that William Stacy is one of the students who has been named to the honor roll for the second marking period of the 2008-09 school year. William received First Honors, with all his grades at 85 or above. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William R. Stacy BOWEN A TULANE GRADUATE Applause for Jennifer Bowen of Pembroke, who was one of the fall semester graduates at Tulane University in New Orleans. Jennifer earned a Bachelor of Science from the Tulane School of Science and Engineering. She will be invited to march with spring graduates at Tulane’s Unified Commencement, which will be held on May 16, in the Louisiana Superdome. The ceremony will feature all the pomp and circumstance of a traditional commencement but with a New Orleans twist, including bagpipes, herald trumpets, confetti cannons, balloon drops and a second-line jazz procession. HONORS FOR PEMBROKE STUDENTS Congratulations to Samantha Hardy, Soumya Karra, Pallavi Karra and Shama Patel, who were placed on the Advanced Student Honor Roll as of December 2008 at the Kumon Math and Reading Center of Hanover.
