Submitted by Anita Sleeman [anitasleemancharter.net] • February 12, 2009 Congratulations to Our Lady of the Rosary Cub Scout Pack 751 which has been awarded
the Gold Medallion Award by the National Catholic Committee on Scouting. Up to fifteen packs can be recognized nationally and Pack 751 was selected from our region which is North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. Pack 751 is the first pack in the state to receive this award. The Gold Medallion Award Program is established to identify and recognized Catholic Cub Scout Pack, Boy Scout Troop, and Venturing Crew in each of the fifteen Episcopal Regions of the United States. It is also intended to promote the National Catholic Committee of Scouting initiative to increase Scouting units, youth members, and adult leaders. National Gold Medallion winners epitomize those units that excel at providing youth with quality programs including religious activities, religious emblems participation, outdoor activities, and special events that encompass the religious, vocational, and educational aspects of Scouting under Catholic auspices. Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic School is seeking volunteers and patrons for the upcoming BMW Charity Pro-Am. As a chosen Charity we hope that you will consider contacting us to volunteer, attend the event or enter a team for the Charity Pro-Am. For more information please contact Anita Sleeman (864) 277-5350 ext. 230. On Thursday, February 12th & February 19th the OLR School community will celebrate Mass on at 8:30 A.M.
