Known to some of us as ‘The Idol who should have been in the finals,’ Danny Gokey plans to thank his hometown of Milwaukee
at an event that also will raise awareness and money for his charity. Gokey’s friend, who was also a contestant on the reality program Jamar Rogers is set to perform at the event. The ‘Idol’ finalist will also talk about his late wife, Sophia’s Heart Foundation which he started in memory of his wife, who died last summer after surgery for a congenital heart defect. A fundraiser is being held earlier at Hilton Milwaukee City Center. Danny Gokey and the other top 10 finalist of American Idol begin their tour in July.
