ENTRIES are now open for the tenth ‘Diet Coke’ East Kilbride Half Marathon and 10k Fun Run, as the build up to this summer’s
hot ticket begins. The race takes place on Sunday, June 21 at the John Wright Sports Centre and your News reporters Graham Mann and I will be joining the thousands of people expected to sign up for the 10th anniversary race. Next week, we will be starting our weekly column with lively features and tips aimed at getting you fully prepared and into shape ahead of the big day. We will have advice from experts, healthy eating tips, training advice and a list of local companies and local figures who have offered to help us prepare for the race. Our column begins with a trip to the doctors to see if we are fit enough for this challenge. We will explain how you can get your fitness checked before embarking on the journey towards the big day itself on June 21.
