12th May 2009 THE 14th annual Darrel Chapman Fun Run this Sunday is the biggest run on the Northern Rivers.
“The Northern Star allows us to be able to get the run out there in the community and get everybody involved,†Mikaela Caldwell, promotions manager of the Fun Run, said. The run is held in memory of Darrel Chapman, a former Kangaroos Rugby League representative and founding chairman of the Far North Coast Academy of Sport, who established the university’s degree in Human Movement Science and Sport Management. Mr Chapman died of cancer in 1992. Whether you run or walk, everyone is welcome on the day.
