9:20am Friday 13th February 2009 IT was a proud day for staff of a Hampshire charity when their world-famous patron made an unscheduled visit.
Archbishop Desmond Tutu met volunteers at Netley Marsh-based Tools for Self Reliance and he left impressed with what he had seen. The organisation refurbishes equipment before sending items off to craftsmen in third-world countries. The Nobel Peace Prize winning South African was full of praise for their work.
