Get involved In what will be one of their first gigs for four years, the Midlands Music Festival heralds the highly-anticipated return of one
of the UK’s hottest boy bands. Around 14,000 music lovers will descend on Tamworth’s Castle Grounds for the star-studded August 8 charity show and fans are expected to snap up tickets fast when they go on sale on Saturday, May 16. Festival headliners Blue, who have sold more than 14 million records, notched up three No.1 albums and had three No.1 singles in the UK, will perform a special 45 minute set at the event. The line-up will see Blue joined by award-winning British RnB star Lemar, X Factor favourites JLS and Eoghan Quigg, Welsh rockers The Automatic and ex-Atomic Kitten and solo star Liz McClarnon. Taking place at the height of festival season, organisers hope to make the Midlands Music Festival one of the summer’s biggest open-air extravaganzas. The one-day spectacular, which will run from 10am to 10.30pm, has been organised to support premature baby charity Just 1 Life and raise vital funds for neo-natal units across the country.
Event organisers Roy Bickley and Jem Sanders founded Just 1 Life following the birth of Jem’s third premature child.
