Board Of License Commissioners For Washington County 2009: Washington County

Board of License Commissioners for Washington County

Washington County liquor officials will decide within the next 30 days whether to allow a liquor store to open on Frederick Street in Hagerstown.
On Wednesday, Paula Prak of Frederick, Md., told the Board of License Commissioners for Washington County, known as the liquor board, she wanted to open a liquor store called Lucky Unity at 640 Frederick St. Several liquor store owners spoke against the request, saying another liquor store in that area would hurt their livelihoods. The liquor board agreed to inform Prak of its decision within 30 days. Hayloft Liquors in Hagerstown has a new name and owner. On Wednesday, the Board of License Commissioners for Washington County, known as the liquor board, granted a liquor license transfer from Cregory Knight, the former owner of the business at 571 Jefferson St., to Kami McEntee. McEntee said she intends to rename the business Brew Necessities.
The Board of License Commissioners for Washington County, known as the liquor board, will allow alcohol sales at a charity event later this month for the Community Free Clinic.
