Boys Lacrosse Spartans Explode Past Pride 2009: Pontiac Brand

Boys lacrosse Spartans explode past Pride

Will you miss Pontiac when the brand is phased out in 2010 Not long after the opening faceoff, the Spartans ripped off a six-goal
outburst in less than three minutes of play. “We have some abilities that way,” Broad Run coach Dave Forman said. “We have a bunch of talented guys who are really starting to click. They’re sharing the ball, but they can create for themselves. It’s good to see that we’re challenging goalies.” The Pride reeled off three in a row to conclude the first half with some momentum, down 10-6. But Broad Run picked up the pace on both ends of the field, winning the third quarter 8-1 with a defensive effort Forman termed “stellar.” One of those stars was Broad Run’s senior goalie Kenny McAdow, stopper of eight shots on goal. “He’s a brick wall. He’s a field general,” Forman said of his athletic netminder. “For us, he is the leader … he’s another coach on the field.”
Senior midfielder Tim Sanders did most of the offensive damage, throwing in seven goals.
