KUSA – What do Broncos Cheerleaders, Go-Karts, Calendars and the Denver Rescue Mission have in common Head out to the Inaugural Race to Keep
Kids on Track on August 15th to find out! The race and calendar release party will open to the public starting at 5pm on August 15th. Local celebrities, Miles the Mascot, and Broncos Alumni are scheduled to be in attendance. A few cheerleaders joined Susie and showed off a Go-Kart for the latest 6:20 Sidebar. All proceeds will benefit the Denver Broncos Youth Center at the and Project PAVE (Promoting Alternatives to Violence through Education). In addition to raising funds through the race, all 26 women will spend time volunteering with each of the beneficiaries. Through the creation of the Inaugural Race to Keep Kids on Track, the cheerleaders will offer fans an opportunity to join their efforts in supporting local at-risk youth. Racers will have a chance to win great prizes and all Race attendees will receive a complimentary 2010 Denver Broncos Cheerleaders Calendar, autographs, food, and beverages. Denver Broncos Cheerleaders – In 2008, 33 members of the elite cheerleading squad divided more than 1,500 hours of civic involvement among 85 Colorado organizations. From organizations such as Craig Hospital and Race for the Cure, to Habitat for Humanity and Boys and Girls Club of Metro Denver, last year’s team spent time visiting, running, building, and coaching. For the upcoming season, the squad will continue to promote community involvement as its number one commitment.
