Reports now tie Alex Rodriguez to Presinal.
Angel Presinal, a personal trainer who has been barred from major-league clubhouses since 2002, told that he has worked with Rodriguez between 2001-03, but denied a steroid connection. He described himself as a “doctor of MLB teams” and made the point he also has worked with athletes in track and field and boxing. Presinal’s scent wasn’t limited to Texas or New York. His connection with Juan Gonzalez in 2001 when Gonzalez played for the Indians got him mentioned in the Mitchell report. According to the Mitchell report, a member of Gonzalez’s entourage said the bag belonged to Presinal.
Presinal contends he has never injected any of his clients with steroids and is falsely accused. Whatever Presinal did for Gonzalez as a personal trainer, apparently nobody explained to him the concept of falling on your sword, or even a syringe.
