WEDNESDAY –Bathurst Sustainable Development invites the public to learn how to make a rainwater system and compost bins.
This information session takes place from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Climate Change Action Centre, 237 Main St. There’ll be a draw for a free compost bin. SATURDAY —The Anglican Parish of New Bandon will hold a lobster supper at Christ Church Hall in Clifton. Settings are at 4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. with tickets at $15 for adults and $7.50 for children under 12. UPCOMING –The public is invited to attend the 16th annual inspection of the Petit-Rocher No. 1242 Army Cadets, to be held May 25 at 7 pm. at the Royal Canadian Legion in Petit-Rocher. The area cadet officer for New Brunswick, Major Dave Boudreau, will be the reviewing officer. The evening will include a special presentation, static displays and a light snack for guets, cadets and the general public. –There’ll be an Asian Fair on May 30 from 12 noon til 4 p.m. at the Cultural Centre at the CCNB Bathurst campus on College Street. This family event will include demonstrations of a variety of Asian cultures, food, dance, music and exhibitions. All are invited and admission is free.
–On May 31, wake up early and come to the Daly Point Nature Reserve (on Carron Drive, off of Bridge Street) for a 7 a.m. guided walk to learn more about songbirds. This event is in conjunction with International Migratory Bird Day.
