MILLENNIUM ADVERTISING of Concord has been awarded the 2009 Pinnacle award for Small Business of the Year by the GREATER CONCORD CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.
The award is given to a company with fewer than 30 employees. THE GREATER CONCORD CHAMBER OF COMMERCE welcomes seven businesses and organizations to its membership: AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION of Manchester, ANANDA NEW ENGLAND of Concord, BREAD AND CHOCOLATE of Concord, CAPITOL ALARM SYSTEMS of Penacook, DEBORAH SEAMON PHOTOGRAPHY of Epsom, HEARTLAND PAYMENT SYSTEMS of Hopkinton and THE MARKETING MIX of Manchester. THE RED BLAZER RESTAURANT AND PUB in Concord became only the second restaurant in the New Hampshire Sustainable Lodging and Restaurant Program to be certified at the Environmental Champion level. The restaurant has immersed itself in energy efficient efforts to take itself off the grid with a generator powered by fry oil waste from its dining operation and supplemented by vegetable oil provided by AMENICO of Pittsfield. The result is a restaurant with a dramatically smaller carbon footprint. CONCORD LITHO is using paper produced by Fraser Paper’s mill in Gorham to produce the White Mountains Map and Guide. That makes the guide 100 percent grown, designed and printed in New Hampshire. COBB HILL CONSTRUCTION of Concord has begun construction on a new dental office in Belmont for Dr. Susan Johnson. The 12-week project is scheduled for completion June 23.
NORTH BRANCH CONSTRUCTION of Concord has completed construction of the George H. and Ella M. Rodgers Memorial Library in Hudson. The library, designed by Adams and Smith of Swampscott, Mass., is a 13,500-square-foot building and features a stone veneer exterior.
