The Cancer Association of Anderson is the only local cancer charity in Anderson County.
Unfortunately, many people still confuse us with the American Cancer Society and other national organizations that raise money here. Especially during the time when ACS holds its Relay for Life events, we receive numerous phone calls and visits from people who want information and mistakenly believe we receive some of the money raised. A choir of 130 adults and 20 children will begin rehearsing in June for our signature fund-raising event, the Concert of Hope and Remembrance, to be presented Oct. 24. We hope the people who were interested in Relay for Life will also support CAA and our services that directly benefit their friends and neighbors.
