“You never get a second chance to make an unforgettable first impression.”
Legacy jewelry for the modern woman.
Caldwell Sutherland and the world of design are a family tradition with a heritage dating back morethan a century. Her great-uncle, renowned landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted, for instance, created and built New Yorks Central Park.
Two decades ago, Caldwell Sutherland was one of the nations premier specialty jewelry designers. Her necklaces, earrings, bracelets and accessories were created on a personal, one-on-one basis for the adornment of Hollywood stars and female entrepreneurs. They also retailed nationwide at Neiman Marcus and at Amen Wardy luxury boutique.
Following the sale of her original company in the early 1980s, Caldwell concentrated her efforts in the residential and commercial interior design field (www.caldwellsutherlanddesigns.com). By late-2008, however, she returned to her first lovethe creation of distinctive, sophisticated, one-of-a-kind jewelry for the modern woman.
Her necklaces and earrings have already won the plaudits from a wide audience. They are not mass produced but reflect the painstaking artistry of a jeweler who demands every piece carrying the Caldwell Sutherland logo makes a statement for whatever the occasion demandsred carpet jewelry for fashion, work or play, night or day.

I just read the article about you and your fabulous jewelry in the Courier – I am interested in knowing whether you do any redesign with my own stones
Also, I love the flower necklace on your website. I am an avid collector of both “fine” and art jewelry.
F. Goldberg
I enjoyed meeting you today, and absolutely love your designs and craftsmanship!
I just emailed one of the Event people from USC/Town and Gown. The Event is on April 7th, at the Beverly Hilton.
Again, your jewelry is wonderful!
Very truly,
M. Heller
You must have seen me through a telescope. Just 4 minutes ago, I put the necklace on a brown wool turtleneck dress that I will wear today and to the Opera this evening. It looks gorgeous!!! I will get great applauses from my Opera friends later.
Helen
Thank you Caldwell-
Helen told me she loved your final design, including the clasp she finds easy to use.
Stay Sweet

Los Angeles designer Caldwell Sutherland unveiled her latest collection of Legacy jewelry at a Bel Air, CA estate. Along with the jewelry, Sutherland also introduced the new model for the line, Alexis Scott.
Several hundred people attended the afternoon-to-late-evening event, which featured a wide array of Caldwell’s unique jewelry. Each piece of Caldwell Sutherland Jewelry is one of a kind. The pearls and gemstones are each personally selected by Caldwell and are of the highest quality. Caldwell’s jewelry is all designed and made in her private studio where she painstakingly takes her ideas from concept to reality.
Designer Caldwell Sutherland offered model Alexis Scott diamond of anopportunity to model her line of jewelry
Caldwell coined the phrase “Legacy Jewelry” to describe fine jewelry that is to be worn every day for work, play, parties and elegant events without the pretentiousness and expense of diamonds, gold, and platinum. Jewelry that makes a woman feel special every time she puts it on and feels the cool stones and perfect fit can only be the result of a handcrafted Caldwell Sutherland Design piece of Legacy Jewelry. Caldwell says selecting a piece of her jewelry is like buying a new pair of shoes, except a piece of Caldwell Sutherland jewelry won’t wear out, and it can be worn everyday with everything from jeans to an evening gown. – Terrence Chappell
