Get involved Organisers of this year’s Rugeley Charter Fair are hoping this summer’s event will be bigger and better than ever before to commemorate
the 750th anniversary of the Charter. Already the event looks set to be spectacular with more acts and stalls than ever. And now Rugeley Town Council is calling on people in the town to come forward and be part of the fun. The summer spectacular will take place on St Augustine’s Field in Rugeley on Saturday June 6. Acts already lined up include the UK’s number one motorcycle display team the Bolddog Links and the Backdraft wheelie truck which jumps 15 feet in the air. Music on the day will be provided by a 300-strong choir and the Samba band from local schools who will serenade spectators throughout the event.
There will also be a colourful parade showing Rugeley throughout the ages winding its way through the town before the event begins.
