Cancer victims family enter Southport charity competition in her

Heather’s Bandana Bandits are hoping to walk away with first place at the event on Sunday, June 14 at Princes Park, Southport, after narrowly
missing out on the title last year. Bill, of Fleetwood Drive, Banks, said: “Last year was a good laugh so I thought I’d get a team together for this year. “Last year we came second and this year we hope to claim first place, but we have some stiff competition from the likes of the JJB team. “Getting involved in It’s a Knockout is a really fitting tribute to Heather. She was so full of life and she would be in her element in a competition like this. “We have a packed diary of fundraising events this year to celebrate what would have been her 40th birthday including a hoe down and a parachute jump. “We are determined to raise as much money as possible for local charities in her memory.” Contestants must be over 14, and prizes are awarded to the teams coming in first, second and third place.
The cost of entering a team of 10 into the Knockout Challenge is a minimum of &pound300. For more details contact organiser Geoff Grice on: 01704 500911 or download information and a booking form from: www.communitychurch.org.uk
