Living with motor neurone disease (MND) can place a significant burden on individuals, families and carers. MND Victoria works to ease that burden by providing practical assistance, equipment, education and support to people affected by the condition.
Carry the Load takes place across the weekend of November 14–15, 2026, inviting participants throughout Australia to complete a 10-kilometre fundraising challenge wherever they are. Participants can take part individually or as a team, choosing an item to carry that makes their challenge personal, meaningful or fun.

Raise funds for MND care.Carry The Load is a free 10km fundraising challenge created by MND Victoria to bring people together in support of those living with MND, their carers and families.
Across 14-15 November 2026, participants can take part wherever they are – solo or as part of a team. Choose something to carry, make it your own and use your 10km to raise funds for MND care.
The event uses the simple act of carrying something to symbolise the challenges faced by people living with MND and those who care for them. Funds raised help MND Victoria provide essential services, including equipment, counselling, education and support for families navigating the disease.
Whether walking alone or joining friends and colleagues, participants can turn a personal challenge into practical help for others. Discover how to take part in Carry the Load here.
