The Ching Foundation has been more than generous to Catholic Charities of Hawaii, yesterday making a $5 million donation.
The late Clarence T.C. Ching established the charitable foundation in 1967 to support organizations in Hawaii.
Then in 1970, he established the Kukui Gardens Corporation, an affordable rental project.
‘The Foundations trustees believe in the mission and vision of Catholic Charities Hawaii,’ the foundation trustee Peter Ng commented when presenting the large cheque.
The Ching Foundation $5 million donation is one of the largest ever given to the Catholic Charities of Hawaii.
