Fresh off her runner-up finish to the controversial Joan Rivers in Donald Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice, Annie Duke is once again doing everything she can
to help out her charity, Refugees International. This time, Duke is hosting a charity poker tournament on May 27th at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Poker Lounge in Las Vegas, Nevada. The tournament is being called the Sucking out on the Rivers Charity Poker Tournament. The charity tournament will be co-hosted by Frank Marino, one of the most well-known Joan Rivers impersonators in the world. Along with Marino, over 20 other Joan Rivers impersonators will be playing in the event and each one will have a bounty on their head. Fans of poker can expect some of the top poker pros from Las Vegas to be in attendance to help out Duke’s cause. The $200 buy-in No-Limit Hold ‘em tournament will feature rebuys and add-ons to help swell the prize pool even higher. “I think that after this poker tournament, the real Joan Rivers will quickly realize that poker players are good-natured people – professional people with respected occupations and families – who really want to change the lives of those less fortunate,” stated Annie Duke. “As poker players, we’re all banding together, not just to prove a point to Joan, but to actually change the world.” The Sucking out on the Rivers Charity Event kicks off on May 27th at 6pm at the Hard Rock Casino Poker Lounge. There will be a Red Carpet ceremony starting at 5pm. For tournament information and registration contact: Hard Rock Poker Lounge at 702-69FLUSH
