February 25, 2009 The Vineland Rotary Club, along with North Vineland Little League, established a league in 2008 for mentally and/or physically challenged youths
to allow them to play baseball. The games are played at Charles Cunningham Park, West Avenue and Wheat Road, Vineland. Billboard advertising is available for businesses interested in supporting the Challenger League. Anyone unable to participate is asked to say a prayer for the troops on March 6, Greenwich’s Send Love Day. A beef-and-beer event will be held at 7 p.m. March 6 at North Italy Club, East Avenue and Virano Lane, Vineland. The event will also include a DJ, Chinese auction, 50/50 raffle and door prizes. Sacred Heart Church parishioners will host a spaghetti dinner March 7 in the church hall, Landis Avenue and Myrtle Street, Vineland. Seatings are at 3 and 6 p.m. The event also will include a basket raffle and entertainment.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children age 11 and younger in advance, and $12 and $6 at the door.
